A subscription should improve your experience, never reduce someone else's control. These rules are not for sale.
Sharing contact details
The second consent that reveals your number or your social handles is free for everyone. Charging for it would mean charging for consent.
Safety features
Sharing your location with someone you trust, reporting, blocking: always free, on every account. We don't bill caution.
Other people's gender preference
No plan lets you appear to someone whose gender criteria you don't match. That filter is absolute.
Premium can also be earned
Every person you refer who completes their sign-up — photo added and first real encounter resolved — credits you the value of one month of Premium. Word of mouth is what keeps an app built on proximity alive: the more people around you, the more you cross paths.
Billing questions
How do I pay?
Through your phone's app store — Google Play, and the App Store once the iPhone version ships. They bill you, using the payment method already on your account. We never see your card number.
How do I cancel?
You can switch off auto-renewal directly in the app, in your plan settings, or from your account on the web. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then you drop back to free without losing any of your matches.
What happens to my encounters if I go back to free?
Your matches and conversations stay. It's the encounters that went nowhere that return to free-account rules: 24 hours of retention instead of 7 days, and 10 favourites instead of 100. Favourite what matters before the deadline.
What is “free while nearby”?
If you crossed paths within the last half hour, you can message each other without limit, even on two free accounts. The idea is simple: when you're still in the same bar, a quota shouldn't be the thing stopping you from talking.
In the same spirit, if either one of you has a paid plan, messages are unlimited for both.
Is there advertising?
Paid plans carry none. If advertising ever appears on free accounts, it will be non-personalized: we pass the ad network neither your location, nor your profile, nor your account identifier.
