If it's mutual, it's a match
The conversation opens, encrypted end to end. Your personal contact details, though, wait until you both tap “share my contact details”. Never before.

What you'll find when you open DareCrush
The two-step match
A match opens the conversation and the full description. Contact details — phone, Instagram, Telegram — take a second agreement, from both sides. That step is never behind a paywall.
Encrypted messaging
Messages are encrypted on your phone and decrypted on theirs. The key never leaves your device: not even we can read them.
Meeting up
Before a first date, you can share your live location with someone you trust, for as long as you choose. The link expires on its own and never reveals who you are with.
Heatmap
Where should you go out to run into people? The map shows busy areas in cells about a hundred metres across, and never displays a cell too few people passed through.
Block and report
A block is immediate, silent and works both ways: the person stops existing for you, without being told. Every report goes in front of a human team.
Cross paths again, if you both want
After a match, either of you can turn on a quiet alert for when you're nearby again. It only fires if you both turned it on, and it uses no GPS at all.
Privacy
Built to know as little about you as possible
A location-aware dating app is one of the most sensitive things you can install on a phone. We built ours starting from that thought.
What we don't collect
Not your real name, not your date of birth, not your address, not your contact list, not your browsing history, not your advertising identifier. Your IP address is tied only to your login sessions, so that you can revoke them.
What Bluetooth carries
Sixteen unreadable bytes, valid for fifteen minutes, that only our server can resolve. A phone next to yours can work out nothing: not who you are, not even that it is the same person twice.
What disappears on its own
An encounter that goes nowhere expires. Delivered messages are purged from our servers within 30 days — the archive is your phone. The location of an encounter is erased after six months.
What you control
Location sharing is optional and revocable. You can export all your data in one move, and delete your account from the app or from the web — even if you already uninstalled.
