Point your camera at the code
No scanner app needed: your phone's camera recognizes the QR code on its own. A notification appears, you tap it, and you land on the app's store page.

One code for both
This one sends each person to the right store, based on their phone. It's the code to put on a poster, a business card or a screen: it will still work when the iPhone version ships.

Three minutes, and you're set
Create your account
An email, a phone number, a password. You get a code by text that opens your session right away; confirming the email can wait a few days.
Fill in your profile
Age, gender, a few attributes, a description. At least one photo is required, and one of them must be taken inside the app: that's what assures other people that the person in the photo is the one holding the phone.
Allow detection
Turn on Bluetooth and let the app work in the background. Without that it can't detect anything — that's the whole principle. Then forget about it: it does the rest on its own.
The permissions we ask for, and why
We ask for nothing the app doesn't genuinely need. Here is the full list, with what happens if you say no.

Phones that kill the app. Some brands — Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, Samsung — routinely shut down apps working in the background. The app's “Keep listening” screen gives you the exact steps for your model. It's the first thing to check if you aren't crossing paths with anyone.
